Some Speaker Factory Favourites
The Ruby is an alnico-magnet guitar speaker that’s purpose-built to create vintage tones – and at 35-watts power handling, it’s ideal for use with mid-powered amps and combos. Bringing the instantly familiar Celestion alnico vibe with its glorious, dampened attack; the Ruby oozes a richly musical vintage warmth, with mellow highs and a smooth, sophisticated midrange.
"I couldn't be happier with the cabinet I recently purchased from The Speaker Factory. Kevin was great to deal with and guided me along the way, to make the whole design and build process incredibly easy. The finished product looks and sounds amazing. I look forward to designing my next cab with him very soon".
“ I am pleased with your level of customer service and the build quality of your cabs. Hard to beat. Would highly recommend. ”
"Huge thanks to The Speaker Factory for building a 112 combo cab for my old blackface Fender amp. Workmanship and customer service were outstanding and their attention to detail is excellent. They shipped it to me in Sydney, and they also sent pics of the build in progress. Very happy, thanks again guys! Cheers, Hayden"
"The Speaker factory recently cloned a damaged Louis Electric KR12 amp cabinet for me and in the process did a full custom job. I was given expert advice, they delivered on time and the build quality was exceptional. I had them use a combination of Tolex and Vinyl which created certain challenges and they went above and beyond expectation in delivering exactly what my brief called for. I highly recommend them for their skill, knowledge and excellent customer service, I could not have been happier with the result. Sean Power [occasional musician]"
I’ve always tended to finish my own amp cabinets (i.e. tolex, grill cloth etc), so I have some idea of what’s involved and how tight tolerances can be when making everything fit together (chassis, baffle, panels etc). For this reason, I’ve persisted (until now) in doing my own cab work but decided to ask Kevin (@ thespeakerfactory) to build me a “Dumble” style head cabinet for an amp that I was doing for a customer. I appreciated his patience in working through the chassis measurements with me, and his attention to the finer details. This gave me confidence early on that we were going to achieve a great result.
